Default What do you think about fender flares?

I have a set of fender flares I've been debating on installing, however I can't seem to stomach having my fenders cut. Anyways, aside from that, how do you guys feel about their appearance on our cars? I love the look from certain angles, but seeing a profile shot makes me think twice about having them. Here are some shots:

I think they look ok, only with the correct ASM rear bumper that flows with the rest of the flare. Looks tacky when used with the stock AP2 rear. And I hate the idea of not going back to stock. Cutting the fenders, no way man. And the rivets on the side look bad too.

i'mgoing with a amuse wide body which involves modding the rear fenders. done right it looks good. it really is a decision if you want to run big tire and wheel setup. if your setup can be run without flares then no need to have them. but if your running bigger setup, you don't have much a choice unless your a stance lover which i'm not. i guess it scares some people to go to extremes to modd with flares. if your not planning on keeping the car, then don't do it. i personnally think they look good.

I always liked then the stock bumper was used to mate up with the rear flare. But I completely agree with you, once it's done it's done.

With the right set of wheels, they do look good.

i had them on one of my previous s2ks....i liked them, but wouldnt do them again. they can look great! bust most people dont do the mods necessary to achieve a great look (and help performance wise too) i.e. matching bumper and wider tires

Here's a picture of my car. Running 11.5 in the back, doesn't poke to much. And I can't complain about how she looks at the moment.

Agreed.

I'm generally not a fan of any aftermarket aero parts, but I have seen a few s2k's that look pretty good with the right body kit/fender flare/wheel combo. And I do emphasize the word "few".

How about getting the rear flares molded? And also have the body shop create an extension to add on to the rear bumper.
