Default What Exhaust to run...

I heard that I need to be careful with my exhaust choice. I heard that alot of exhausts have been known to decrease power when its mated to a car with a charger.

Im planning on getting the Invidia V3 catback, the one with 2.75inch piping. Any reveiws/input?

I have the invidia v3. Very loud, but has great gains. Made a world of difference on my 06. The only thing is...it's very loud. I'm going to install a resonator in the near future. The exhaust is pretty quiet with the silencers in. But I don't like the way it looks with them in, and it kinda defeats the purpose of the exhaust. So I would recommend a resonator with this exhaust. There is a thread where another member suggested a certain brand of resonator and got great results with his v3. Hope this helps. ('ll try to find the link for you)

Well, im not looking to spend alot of money on exhaust. Im trying to hold back with this car. My last car was a 9,000 spending spree (See signature)

Ill look into adding a resonator. not a bad idea!

Don't do the header or decat, stick to a twin and you should be OK.
The other thing you need to consider is noise and drone.
The SC will put more gas through the exhuast so will change the character.
I had an Amuse on mine but it was WAY TOO LOUD.
I now have a Mugen AP2, but that drones.
I will be going to an AEM with decat and Ricks header to try and get more power and solve the drone problem.

I think if you ran OEM exhaust with a 2.5" test pipe you would get nice gains without going with an aftermarket exhaust.

I am going to Turbo, but basically Test Pipe 3 inches to two Magnaflow Mufflers, looks like Comptech (same mufflers) and a fraction of the price......
