Well first off... WELCOME!!

I guess the question is: What will you be using the car for? Track, daily driver or both?
Also depends on the condition of the car you have. Lets say that everything is good as far as body, paint, mechanical, etc. In other words, dont go out and buy a set of nice wheels if you are leaking oil, or need a tune-up, or you are missing a fender, etc. Here's my opinion on best mods:

Decent Full coilover set - Avg. Price $1500 (Skunk2 Pro-C)
17" Aftermarket wheels and tires - $2000 give or take, depending on which wheels (Enkei RPF1s)
Decent exhaust kit - Avg. Price $800
Decent intake kit - Around $250 for a AEM V2 Cold Air
Front bumper OEM lip - Avg. Price $300
Momo Steering wheels and hub kit - All in all around $500
Cusco 5-point anti-roll bar - Around $600
Sparco seats - Depending on model, about $1400 for the pair (Fighter/Roadster)
Takata Harness - $???

TOTAL APPROX. = $7500

Now as you can see the above list really doesn't include engine parts but these items will transform the look and feel of the car in a million positive ways. If lots of speed/power is what you need, dump the money on a turbo kit. Plain simple.

Note I added no Carbon Hardtop cause that's Avg. 5Gs alone.

Go for looks first, the speed will always be availible to you in the future. People always looked at my car b4 I did mods, but now jaws drop, and everyone from 2yr olds to old men stare.

If you want power... dont dick around go Turbo

As I get older I like not worrying about attracting attention, and rather go faster and be more comfortable.

I'd suggest a supercharger for reliability and suspension mods with basic bolt ons. All the beauty mods just attract bad attention, and someone messing with your car will only piss you off more. Oh if your using your car as a daily driver I would highly suggest the racelogic traction control unit for both peace of mind and to get you out of those hairy situations with rain/snow.

mjscharge why would you say that speed would always be there in the future and not think the same about looks? If anything I would imagine that it would be better to wait quite few years collect the body parts that I wanted and paint the whole car at once when its need paint, not first when the paint is fine....

I'd say wheels, tires, suspension, exhaust and save the rest for a kraftwerks supercharger. Once your car is running nice, then consider body parts and spending 7g's for a repaint once you have learned to drive it a bit, get a few paint chips, and ding the door once or twice.
