I don't mind it at all either.... at night.

I think they need to redesign a bit to remove the altezzaish effect. I'd be all over it once they get it right.

I was bored so I sent the guy the link to this thread. I'm big fan of those LED lights, so maybe we can offer some suggestions as to how it can be redesigned to look less cheap.

I think it would look good if the plasticy chrome parts where flat black. They look like improved ap1's with a ring of led's around them.

a little chromy but a little tint might tone it down a bit. i might have given it a shot when i had one of my tails cracked a year or so ago. most likely we'll need to see an installed pic before passing too harsh of a judgement (people are already doing similar things with the third brake light). who'll be the first guinea pig?

EDIT:

copied/saved pic so we could all see it without going to the link...

I think they would pretty good if all the chrome was black instead. The chrome parts make it def look cheap!

i'd take it if it was cheaper, and open it up, scuff the chrome spray it flat black and then reseal it, maybe tint the LED's so they weren't so shiny as well, and maybe make it look a little less flashy, glad someone finally got some on the market, kinda interested, don't care about what other people think about your car, they don't drive it you do. If you want chrome rims on your S, then put them on if others don't like it then tough, if you want chrome accents on your interior it doesn't mean it's ricey, if there is a little bit of chrome on the inside of LED taillights, doesn't mean they're ricey, maybe just a little flashy. wouldn't mind a set of these (I like LEDs)
