Default Where to begin?

Im new to both the forums, and owning a S2000. I'm looking for advice on which route to actually go. I'm not sure if I wanna turbo, which im leaning toward, or supercharge/NA my car, if I went turbo I was looking at Inlinepro. N/A was wanting maybe ITB's, havent looked to much into Supercharging it. Thanks for any advice on the topic.

If you are looking to get anymore more than about 230whp, don't even bother with NA mods. Go strait to FI. It will be expensive, but if you really want the power it will be worth it.

This is my opinion, but if you are looking to get around 300-350whp, get a supercharger or greddy turbo. If you are looking for anything more than that, I would go inlinepro or mase.

I may look into Greddy then, not looking for more than 350. I just want something more than stock, and ive heard alot of the horror stories about NA, and the lack of power that it really brings.

These are just average prices, I know you can get cheaper and more expensive items, but this is just to get an average baseline.

NA:

Exhaust: $700-$1000+
Header: $500
Test Pipe: $120
Intake: $250
Nitrous kit (with all safety features, WOT switch, lean shut down switch, ect..): $1000+
Fill up bottle: $25 (thats how much it cost to fill my 10lb bottle in my old 300zx)
EMS to get full capabilities: $1000

Total: About $3900 plus the cost of a dyno tune.

Thats already over halfway to a turbo kit that you wont keep having to fill up, and have power literally whenever you want.

Just sayin'!

you dont have to spend THAT much. you can easily shave off 1500 off of that.

you dont need an aem ems. you can do a greddy ultamite emanage, i ran that and it was perfectley fine for 1/2 of the cost.

You can buy from the used marketplace but it is still expensive.

moral of the story, ANYTHING OVER 240whp is over 2500-3000 dollars.

I was just giving you a hard time man, but yes, anything close to 300whp will cost about $3000+.

ha thought so. Its honestley also in in preference and liabitlity you gotta to pay to play. nitrous will keep up with ALOT of superchargerd cars if not beat them because of the torque. also very daily driveable. you dont have to spray all the time. only when wanted or needed
i never had a problem on a 75 shot and went through about 10 bottles in a month....i know i had nitrous spraying issues.

Yeah I almost bought a zex nitrous kit with everything needed with all safety features, but I ended up getting my hardtop instead. I know you can run up to a 75 shot safely with the stock ECU and timing, but anything more than that it is highly recommended you get a tune. I went through a couple bottles pretty quick in my 90 300zx but I had to drive 100 miles just to get my bottle filled. Lame.
