Default Where do I get a harness bar?

Just bought my MY2007 S2000 couple days back, and I'm loving every second of it!

I'm totally new to the entire brand of Honda, much less the S2000. I used to be a Mazda guy. As such, I have NO CLUE whatsoever about the aftermarket brands that specialize in Hondas or the S2000.

Anywho, I have a little bit of ricer blood in me. I want a racing harness setup primarily for the looks, because the stock seat and belt are plenty supportive to me (the side bolsters are as thick as my torso is. Tiny asian dude here).

However, at the same time, I also have a philosophy with mods: If it looks fast, it better be fast. Every cosmetic piece on the vehicle must perform a non-cosmetic function as well.

So, I want a functional harness bar, functional harnesses and Recaros. No cheap knockoffs, and no non-safety certified harnesses (I've heard of ricers installing cheap straps that look like harnesses but do not perform as harnesses should in the event of a crash).

I've done some Googling. Elda seems to be dead, and so is GFL. I don't know where to go for a functional harness bar. Any ideas where I can source such a thing?

I'm hoping whatever setup I end up with is still daily driveable, so the interior mirror must still be able to see behind me.

If you really want something safe and not just bling, then you need to get a roll bar with a lower harness bar installed. Hard Dog makes a good one:

Running just a harness and a fixed back seat is dangerous in our cars because the stock roll hoops are too low.

Hm..., how low is too low? Because I'm a short dude, and the hoops are actually taller than my head while sitting in the car.

I didn't think I'd need a roll bar because I read that the S2000 already has rollover protection standard.

I assume you will be tracking this car, correct? It is a racing and competition forum after all Is your head still below the stock hoops with a helmet on? You would have to be about 5'5" for your head to be below the stock hoops with a helmet on.

That's a good question. It's only been day 3 and I've been wondering how I can improve on the already fantastic driving experience that is the S2000.

I will put my helmet on when I get home and take a look. I'm fairly short. Just shy of 5'6 actually.
