hey does anyone know if the AP1 headlights will fit on an AP2? do they have the same fitment and mounting points and does the AP1 and AP2 use the same ballasts for the HIDs? Im planning on swaping headlight assemblies with my friend who had an AP1, so that i can clear the corners (since i cant seem to find any kits for the AP2 lights). any input would be very helpful, thanks in advance.

 

It'll fit but the ballast are different

 

so we have to switch the balasts when we exchanged the headlight assemblies too? is there a difference in the performance of the headlights?

 

AP1 is supposed to a bit clearer/sharper cutoff, they changed the lens a bit on the AP2 since people complained of being blinded.

 

Why don't you just swap complete headlight assemblies? (housings and ballasts).

You can swap ballasts, but the AP2 housings will require some modifications (shaving some material) for the AP1 ballasts to work.

I say just clear your AP2's and put in color bulbs.

yea thats what i was saying (swap the assemblies with the matching ballast) and i wanted to clear my AP2 lights but i cant find a kit for it. i know ricks has a clear diffuser kit for the AP1 lights. i know there are some members that have cleared AP2 lights but it was a limited thing. do you know where i can get a clear kit for the AP2?
