Thumbs up Will wiring into the ebrake power keep the

I am just curious of wiring into the E-Brake power will cause the device to stay on at all times ever when the car is off. I want to wire into the power that when pulled up turns the ebrake light on in the dash and all. Basically wiring in a single LED into each inside door handle so as soon as the ebrake is pulled it lights up the door handle as no one can ever find it in my car it seems.
Want something that automaticall turns on so seemed like the best choice and should be pretty easy to wire under the carpet or something and up through the center console.
I got super wide angle red LED'd so hoping the light will be good and not TOO bright and will match the rest of my red interior lighting.

All the E-brake does is ground a wire. If it was me, I'd use that to ground a relay which powers the LED's. You don't want them on 100% of the time though do you or do you want them OFF when you pull the e-brake and on when you let if down?

Either way, a relay that has 12 volts on one end and is grounded by the e-brake could be used to activate the LED's.

I want them only to come on when I engage the ebrake when coming to a stop so passengers can see the door handle and let themselves out without clawing at my door panel haha.

well if you wanted to use the e brake and it is a ground then just hook up the other side to 12 volts and then when you set the e-brake it will give it the ground to complete the curcuit and whaaaaaa let there be light

Ah nice it would be that easy wouldn't it. Hmm so sounds like a very easy wiring job then. The LED's I got have resistors built in and 6" of wire so just need to buy some regular wire. I can wire the power into the cig lighter than right? That is what I wired my ipod connect thing to I believe.
As long as it only comes on and uses power when the Ebrake is used should work great.
Think I might try this tomorrow.
