I bought the Hard Dog because I didn't want to get turned away at a track day (I'm 35 minutes from Watkins Glen) because of an unapproved bar... and it's a high bar. I'm tall and would never pass a "broomstick" test without a high bar and a lowered seat.
I have nothing against the other bars except that some don't allow for full seat travel. I have to have the max. Some really restrict seat recline including the 4 bend Hard Dog, so I had to go 2 or U bend bar and notch the bulkhead to lose only a click or two of max recline.
It's just perfect... but it's a lot of work.

From what it looks like you don't have a harness bar? Are you planning on running race seats ever? Or just sticking to stock?

Picture 5 & 6 you can see the harness bar.
It passes through the back of the secret compartment.
For the stock seats, stock belts.
Race seats, I'm ready...

Oh, sick! That is so beautiful...looks almost OEM. So was that hard to cut through the secret compartment?

None. No seat travel change. 2 clicks of recline is all...

Great job!

If and when you install a race seat and harness, will you have to cut a slot in your trim to pass the harnesses through? Or did you already accommodate that? It's hard to tell from your photos. How many hours (bar and trim) did it take?

I am considering the exact same bar for my MY07 as well. I am tired of rolling the dice at track days. What seat/rails are you looking at?
