VAFC2 bad? Maybe if he is talking about using it to control his car with a turbo set up. In relating to his search to make the most of the N/A mods on his car, the VAFC2 is a great bang for your buck mod.

I had header, exhaust, test pipe, tuned on Emanage ultimate.
The result was about 8hp gain in the mid range and I actually lost some at the top end. Most of the improvement was from increasing the timing, and VAFC does not even has this ability

Vafc2 is a cool simple modd. don't have much experience with headers yet. vafc is to adjust air/fuel ratio and adjust the vtech engagment. if you need more than that, get the e manage. the vafc does help a little. these cars are hard to get major gains unless you thro major bucks at it or go boosted. the question you have to ask yourself is, what is your hp goal for your car you want to reach? go from there. good luck.

care to say which header/exhaust /tp? which tuner? e-manage ultimate is going to require a better tuner than a VAFC.

a K&N FIPK would've provided a better gain for you than your emanage tuning

VAFC is a good bang for your buck, definitely more effective on 00-01, but since you have all that stuff already, I would go ahead and install everything

My NA setup was AUT plate, K&N drop in, Rick's header, Berk test pipe, Tanabe Touring exhaust.
Got tuned at P-tuning by Tuan
