Default Zex Dry Kit?

I am not familiar, however I have been reading a few threads where people have stated they are running the Zex Dry Nitrous kits.

Would this kit work on a stock AP1?

What do you use for tuning or is there tuning required? Is there anything else needed to run this kit safely on my car? Any information helps.

You can pretty much hook any unversal nitrous kit up to the s2000 just like any other car. I honestly wouldnt put a dry shot on my car. I had one on my old 300zx, then switched to wet and it just felt more effective. Also not to mention the added safety of adding fuel that way. Also something like a window switch and a lean shut down switch seem like they would add some more safety. Over time nitrous will cause the engine to wear faster just like any big power adder. So I would make sure I could afford a new short block before you add nitrous. Especially since you have an 01 with the old banjo bolts. Which could lead to a scored cylinder pretty fast. Those are just some cons to think about before you do it. If you want to add nitrous, more power to you! Some people run it all the time with no problems on their s2k's. Good luck to you sir!

Yeah I may pass this time around, was just looking for a 'surprise' cheap power adder. I could get the kit for $200 with everything except the bottle holder.

i had the zex dry shot. just sold it actually. i sparyed 2nd and 3rd gear and sold it. had a 55shot. backfired like crazy rite after i sprayed! got scared! but it was fine. the dry shots dont come with the LED light on the smart box (u will thank me later when u get it, cause u wont understand until u get it) anyways, the zex dry kit DOES run FUEL too. its not ur everyday dry shot with just straight up N20, the smart box has a hole for the fuel too. it mixes fuel and n20 right before it gets in the intake even tho it only has 1 line to the intake cause it mixes inside the smart box. just make sure u cut the rite fuel line when u sprayin or ull end up like me! if u got any questions feel free to ask.

btw: sold it cause i needed cash for my advan v2s and i was scared!

Wow, I didnt know it ran fuel on that zex dry kit. I just thought dry was strait N20 and wet added the fuel mixture. So techinically that dry zex kit is a wet kit I suppose?

i never ran the zex dry kit on my s2000 but i ran it on my gsr and i have been running this dry kit for about 4 years now and i havent broke anything. the ecu is just chipped. yes the zex dry kit does have a line for fuel and intake air to come mix before sparying into the motor.

dry is sprayed before the throttle the zex kit mixes with fuel and then sprays, the wet kit goes directly into the fuel rail. and mixes there.
