Default Venom Nitrous Kit

Hey i was just looking in my magazine and i came across the Venom Nitrous kit. It seems pretty kool. Controlled by a computer. They have 3 modes, linear, drag, and timed. I was wondering how much hp you can add say if you did linear because one of them lets you run this kit like a supercharger. go to www.venom-performance.com

I think you`d be safe up to about an 80 shot. I squeezed an 80 shot on 11:1 compression for 6 months and it was fine. Whatever you do, make sure the kit is installed correct.

I discussed using a venom kit many months ago (no S2000-specific kit), but the general consensus was it wouldn't be the best thing for our engines. I had only planned to do a 60-shot, but the fact that it was a dry setup didn't make people too excited about it. Mind you, this was also during the #4 cylinder craze where it looked like oil wasn't being properly distributed throughout the block, so the uneven distribution problem of dry systems left a bad taste in people's mouths.

I wish I had a little bar readout that told me how quickly I was reducing the life of my engine with each mod so I could determine if any particular mod is worth it or not for the long run. 6 months may not have caused any visible harm, but I'm wary about long-term damage...I want my little girl to last.

Maybe in a couple of years when my little girl has given me a few solid years I'll start attaching unknown variables to her lifespan, but right now I think I'll wait.
