How about the Mines ECU, they make an application for the S2000, but I have never heard of anyone actually running it?

Probably cause of the near 2k dollar price tag.

Wouldn't the same thing happen to the EMU?

....the VAFC is only reset at if you are tuning the stock ecu under 80% WOT. The stock ecu will adjust to the mods in partial throttle, but when you are over 80% WOT, the ecu switches to preloaded maps. This is where the VAFC is effective, and the ecu will not erase the VAFC tune. One of the differences between this and the EMU is that the EMU tunes for partial throttle and full throttle, where as the VAFC is a waste of time to tune at partial throttle because the stock ecu will adjust to the mods on its own.

bump for more info on ecu's, so far i'm thinking just the reflash and say the Mugen ecu... Is only Mugen parts good for that ecu? But if I just had other Intake/Header/TP/Exhaust it should be worthy for either of these ecu's right? -J

I think the Hondata ECU reflash will be the best out of what's available, especially for the price. You'll see great gains w/ an AEM stand alone, but at what price? And you won't lose any of the oem functionality.

Well I just noticed that Hondata does not offer a reflash for the AP1? Where can I get another ecu reflash such as the mugen program? Thanks. -J
