I have an 08 with aem ems v2 and a 4 channel wideband. I can tell you that the OEM actuator is super picky.
Correct. This has been my experience as well. The actuator is controlled by a separate module outside the ecu.
Yup, that is why we integrated the OEM actuator. If it doenst work, not sure what will?

On a side note if there is anyone near me that'd like to let us do some testing with aem infinity on an 06+ car that'd be great. I'd build a sub harness for the throttle body and take the OEM controller out of the loop

I have people asking about AEM infinity and EMS V2 but I didnt think they had a 06-09 harness?

very nice!!

what kind of gains are you expecting/hoping to get with these?

Our ITBs made 10-20 HP midrange & 5 HP up top over a tuned motor with intake. We will post that dyno soon. Same user lost power with other 50mm ITBs over same tuned motor.

Most ITB gains that I have seen are tuned ITBs over untuned motor. It hard to distinguish what gains were from the ITBs and what gains were from tuning and lowering VTEC. It funny when people show huge mid range gains from lowering VTEC when the same can be done on non ITB motor. Lowering VTEC is limited by Cams, so if the Cams are the same, it can be lowered with or with out ITBs.

i see what your saying, im tuned with intake and test pipe by gernby, the difference in midrange is unbelievable

i would love to see what these in addition to a gernby tune

I don't have any experience with cams, but I wanted to mention that the biggest thing preventing a lower VTEC engagement on a Stock S2000 (AP1 or AP2) is the stock catalytic converter. The location of the housing combined with the density of the catalyst causes a very severe plugging pulse that totally kills torque at ~5K if VTEC is engaged.

With everything else stock, if you simply replace the OEM cat with an HFC, test pipe, or one of my mid-pipes (best), you can lower VTEC to 4K or below with a decent tune. A conventional HFC will still cause a bit of a dip in torque between 5-5.5K, but the gains below that will be worth it.

Tested the Actuator last week and had some gremlins.
Got the actuator re calibrated this week by the testers shop and everything is working great. Stock ECU and DBW controller is opening and closing the ITBs as hoped.

Tuning is next week. Can we control ITBs via MAP and FlashPro?

You can control ITB's decently with hondata. The usable range of the map sensor gets very narrow so you'll want to rescale the load breakpoints so that you have more resolution close to atmospheric pressure. There is very little difference in map from say 30% throttle to 100% throttle.

Great news. Glad it's coming together.
Wadzii brought up a good point Re: resolution. Advise the tester that he can double the resolution in the MAP axis by "showing" the boost columns in Flashpro, and simply manually inserting extra columns where resolution is needed.
