Default 1320 heatshield 63mm test pipe?

this is a reposted thread. i wasn't sure if i posted it originally in the right section on the forum.

has anyone used the 1320 performance 63mm test pipe before? i was looking at getting the invidia one but i like how you can use the factory heat shield on this one for extra security in case i get checked by a cop.
I'm just wondering basic info. quality, flow, CEL.

unless you are like street racing with neon lights glowing under you car while purging your NOS, no cop is going to look under you car.

i'm sure it will work fine

If anyone looks, the 90 degree sensor adapter/CEL fix will tip off cops and smog check technicians.

Well think of it this way, without the heat shield you're going to get a ticket. With the heat shield you just cut down the odds of getting one. I'll take cutting down the odds.

Seems like a stupid topic to post about. It definitely would be better with it. I just didn't read anything about it on the forum about it yet. The real question was quality of this test pipe. I also didn't know I need a 90 degree spacer for the CEL.

The difference is between getting a fat ticket for having a test pipe vs getting a ticket (if emissions tested in the street by checkpoint) for having a "broken cat".

Have one myself. It's not a 90 degree, it's just a spacer that removes the Sensor from the exhaust stream. Passed emissions with it. Our emissions is a code read combined with a visual (mirror to look under the car), so having the heat shield ensures passing that part.

Considering this piece costs practically the same as a Berk or Invidia test pipe, it's a no-brainer. My cat rattled itself to pieces inside anyway so it was cheaper than replacing.

I'd buy it from Ballade Sports. A trusted source.
