Yes that one looks small, but to know if your filter is causing a restriction you need one of these

My initial impression is more power
I don't personally like to talk about butt dynos, but is all I have now. I can hear less vibration coming from the intake as an indication of air coming in with less restrictions. I have a vented hood so I can really hear the intake very good. So far I "feel" the different with more POWER at the top end.
I should be scheduling a tuning secession soon again at http://www.engtuning.com/ I will compare it to dynos from before this intake.

Awesome, can't wait to hear your results. I was thinking about doing the exact same thing with my FIPK, and then a few weeks later, I see you post the same thing
Will you be running a velocity stack? I'm thinking about going with a 3.5" velocity stack from BPI Performance, and pairing it with an AEM filter.

I think a velocitystack will work really good in the length of these pipe (FIPK). Original FIPK for our cars is like 2 3/4", since your making the changes why not just go with 4".
After reading in here (s2ki) one thing I notice is that majority of the "power" intakes are big in diameter.
I think AEM filters are better than K&N filters.

For a velocity stack(yes they all work) I like this one, good looks and function.

I like the looks of aluminum and I have one(no its not for sale) and its well made.
There shop is in Livermore,CA and I've been to it a couple of times and I like seeing $200k cars being modified.
If I had the money I'd have them make me a intake like this, one that would go from 6" down to 3.5" or 4" then tapper down to the size of the T/B right before the T/B. They can route the pipe to where it would get the best supply of cold air.

Glad to see people opening their eyes and trying this out. Going from the short ram like what you did to a complete cai was a huge difference. I'll be selling my setup shortly since I got the bends for my manifold the other day >=)
