WHAT WENT WRONG WITH THESE?? IT IS NEVER GOOD TO PEEP IN SUCH CONDITIONS AT ALL.. AM NEVER SURE IF THE VALVES ARE IN FINE STATE..!!

Yup that would be the one and we know that there was issues there so it's no wonder However, I have to take responsibility for it. The head was sitting on my bench for months...If I had know that this stuff was this crucial, I would have checked it and then had it repaired before bolting up to the shortblock. Better yet I should have learned my lesson the first time and just took it to another shop and had it rebuilt again. I was on a budget and cutting corners though and wasn't even on my radar.



Thanks to all the guys here, I now know another little piece of the puzzle and I think I've learned my lesson!

Yes and no. I'm not a pro so I can not confirm, but it appears to be a worn valve guide issue. The head was rebuilt, but the guides were not replaced. I have as much as 1 - 1.5mm of lateral moment just a few millimeters off the seat. This would cause the valve to not seat properly, add in my high spring rates, and the valves are being fatigued and eventually causing it to crack / brake off just above the valve. KABOOM!
