My buddy has a h22 swapped civic that's pretty modded and he's been using a silencer for years with no problems... You'll prob get less power but other than that I don't think so... And the diff in power will likely not even be noticeable

like the other guy said it's not really a big deal but they do rob power.

I think someone once told me silencers could create issues in both cheap exhausts with thin metal and in titanium exhausts because of the excess heat that they can build up. It's not something I would give much credit to, but I do believe I've heard that before...

I'm running Skunk2 Silencers on my el cheapo Tsudo exhaust. They kill alot of dron and actually sound amazing ( ones that came with it were garbage). They proved on a dyno the skunk2 mega power silencer doesn't even lose horsepower. As far as running them long term, I see no issues. MAYBE an issue with heat on the track but I highly doubt it. Also paint those suckers with the bbq grill paint so you don't notice them being installed

You have the dyno chart to that?

I would have to dig for it. It's on the web somewhere. 7whp with and without.

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/index.php...f=193&t=582235 there ya go. Dyno video, made 7whp with and without silencers. The Skunk2 silencers is made odd from most others. The long tube in it has holes drilled all around for better flow but has sound deadning to quieten it down. I was amazed at how good they sounded versus the shitty silencers that came with my exhaust. They ar ehowever a tad louder than the ones that came with it.

Other than them getting stuck from time sitting on there, you'll be fine if you just want to quiet down. You won't feel a huge difference in power.
