All unnecessary body panels will be removed (fenders/doors/bumpers) and everything else which is not needed for the operation of the car or the structural rigidity will be cut away.
The exhaust was just still there for the pic, but is removed meanwhile.

Funnily enough I was thinking about this very same thing the other day. Sometimes I wish I had two S2000s so I could keep one stock and then go nuts on the other one.
I've been planning a S2000 engines "Seven" for years. I think the "Seven" chassis will be easier to work with than a cobbled S2000 body shell. I came close to ordering a rolling chassis from South Africa. Bought my S2000 instead. The month after I bought the S2000 my wife and I were caught in a sudden rainstorm in a big state park. Pulled off the road on a wide area and the roof was up in six (6) seconds and the windows in another second. Used a paper napkin go wipe the water off the dashboard. Glanced across the roadway at a parking area and there was a young couple struggling to fit a roof on their Seven. Raining too hard for me to go help.

Did anyone ever build a Super 7/Caterham style S2k on the S2k chassis?
