Like the title says, are there engine specific aftermarket header b/w the 2.0 and 2.2? or are they interchangeable? difference in hanger or anything?

nothing is different to how you would mount them. they all mount the sam way either to a f20 or f22.

BUT!!! mugen makes a header for ap1 and one for ap2. the ap1 header will not work on the ap2, not sure bout the other way around. ricks, copied the mugen ap1 header and has been dyno proven to lose whp on ap2. megan also designed a header for an ap1 and one for ap2. the differences is not in the mounting but in the design to work with the powerband.

those are the three companies off the top of my head that does that.

Thanks for the great info!

So my question now is...is there significant if ANY power gains to be had from a race header for my ap1? You mentioned that the ap2 lost power and my friend in an ap2 said that I will not gain anything noticable?

thanks

i would agree, unless you hand over a lot of cash then you may gain more. but the average header will net you about 6-8whp. the only good it does is that it is a supporting mod. what that means is that it will allow you to lower you vtec and that is where the real power would be made. i made about 8 more whp but after a reflash, i made 20 more whp in the mid range and lower my vtec to 4200 rpm.
