Default Doing A N/A Build

I need some help on a N/A build. Im planning on supercharging on the way down the road, I have canceled out turbocharging. So anything I do N/A wise would benefit the SCer (not for awhile). Really, I just need to know what setup is best and worth the money. I have seen mixed reviews about a header being worth it, when you can do everything else and 2 Stage Meth Inject it for about $300 bucks. Right now, I am on a budget. I dont really feel like putting $1400 down on a HyTech header. Id rather do CAI (got it), custom 3" piping to the stock mufflers (tell family mechanic to get rid of everything restrictive and make it more free flowing; trying to stay a sleep and stock looking). I want to do Stage 2 S2 cams, retainers, etc. Going to cost about $1,200 new from CorSport. I already have the EMU tunable ECU. I just need to know what kind of things I need to look at in order to make my moneys worth on a N/A build (again, I have the EMU). I dont want to waste my money on a header if the OEM is already pretty "free flowing". Give me some input please.

All I have is a CAI by Fujita, right now with 1K saved. I can roughly put away 100+ a week. Let me know my options

If I could do everything all again, I would start off by getting lighter pulleys and a lightweight flywheel first. As for "power adders" I was quite satisfied with my snorkel, especially for the price. TB supposedly helps a little, and there is no reason why to think otherwise, but I didn't feel much of a difference. VAFC tune was great as well.

find used parts and save money, used good header with proven gains, intake, etc.

I picked up a mugen header and emanage ultimate and then got it tuned all for $1000...of course I got lucky in some ways by just looking on here (classifieds) at the right time. Anyway, I bought intake and catback/testpipe new which was another $1500. So as you can see, you can do things rather cheap or expensive and still get really good power adders if you are a smart shopper.

Keep in mind that some mods are also supportive of each other, so if you can take more air in, you can put more air out, make sure there isn't a bottleneck somewhere, keep things balanced. I would personally skip the cams, not sure any cams have been proven to produce measurable gains on this car. The e-manage ultimate was a good/cost effective move, just throw on some supporting mods and they will work in concert to really open things up.

I think cams would be better suited to cars with built heads, ITB's, and such when you are looking for that last bit of performance.

Just do your research and keep in mind that some mods also remove weight and hence give you better acceleration in two ways which of course makes them more cost effective and thus worthwhile parts. Removing weight from other sources can also be free if you are willing to do without some things...shaving 100lbs is like adding 10hp.

Taking the flywheel off and telling my mechanic to put a new one in would be costly....and along with that I might aswell put a new clutch in when Im at it, and I dont need one right now, thats kind of at the back of my list when I get too much power and have to get a new clutch; THEN ill get a new flywheel at the same moment

Making power on this car N/A is expensive. I'm sure you know this.

With that said, with the right parts and the right tuner you can make good power. I made 236 hp 159 tq with just an exhaust system and an EMS. So anythings possible
