this would be question were you will get different answer depending on preference and budget and belief...

i have owned both ap1(f20) and ap2(f22)...so basing on my experience i will choose an f22 over f20 anyday even though it has 1000 rpm less than the f20, but this is just me...i really feel that the f22 is more superior in power... also, they are both relaible engine if they are maintained or tuned or built correctly...both engine are good for track..like wat i said choosing between f20 vs f22 will depend on ur taste and preference coz imo they are almost identical....

the AP2 is a stronger engine overall. you can also raise the redline in an AP2 to 8.6K rpm.

any F series Honda engine is virtually indestructible. They're Honda engines with a timing chain... will go to 1.5 million miles IMO. THe AP1 has the privilege of a higher redline, the AP2 has .2 more liters of engine space, so the tuning of bolt on mods will yield more hp on AP2 depending on mod. Also, the AP1 in my opinion is more fun to drive, the AP2 only has a few more ft. lbs. of torque, which really isn't a fair trade off compared to a nice 9000 rpm revv limit.

you decide

I'm definitely a fan of the f22(i own a ap1).

Where did they drag race? Colorado? If not neither can drive.

The F20 is 1997cc and the F22 is 2157 so it is no a 2.2 Liter motor.

The issue, as shown in the dyno, is that the F20 has a poor tune from the factory. With a VAFC you can prevent the massive drop in HP after 8300. The F22 was made to have more low end TQ (but not much) and lower the redline to make it more suitable for the driver. If you properly tune an F22 and properly tune an F20 each with a stock redline you won't see much difference in acceleration time. If you increase the redline to what Hondata has for the AP2 then you will see the AP2 pull away.

If I had to pick I will pick the F20c because I have one.
