Default Head Question

So my plan is to build a simple clean super reliable f24 with a big shot of nitrous. I am in the process of building my head and I have heard from a few different people that I need aftermarket valve springs some say i dont I only need titanium retainers some say I dont need anything at all. What is everyone's opinion? And I dont want to hear "oh nitrous is bad" and blah blah blah.

Stock valve train is always a liability, miss a gear and you'll hose the whole thing. Stock retainers with heavier springs usually ends up in broken retainers.

We use supertech springs and retainers on all of our builds.

If you have the stock ap2 retainers I don't see the point of upgrading the valve springs or retainers.

The point of stiffer /upgraded valve springs is because your running bigger cams or your reving the engine higher than stock(9,000rpm), so upgraded springs and retainers are required.

With a stroker 2.4 build your probably running stock cams and your rev limit will be lower than stock. So what's the point of changing the valve train...

Its an AP1 motor with AP2 retainers. I just want a very reliable set up. Something I dont have to worry about every time I spray.

My follow up question is, do I need valve seats or can I just use new springs and retainers

Valve seats only need to be changed if you put big valves in the head.

For springs and retainers you will need the spring bases. Supertech kits come w/the bases you'll need
