Default Help! J's header or invidia power package?

So after 4 years of saving up I finally bought myself a 18,000 mile 2005 S2000!!!!! I've looked around everywhere for dynos on the invidia header but Ive come up empty handed. Do you guys think I'd be better off getting the invidia header, 70mm test pipe, and exhaust or the j's spl. Theres no info on the invidia header and i dont want to pay for something that could possibly handicap me.

Congratulations on the new S!! From all the research I did when I was looking at mods for my s (also an '05 ) i learned that the best bang for the buck will be from the test pipe or high flow cat (I have a Berk HFC on mine). I looked at getting the j's header but had a hard time pulling the trigger as the PLM is reported to make as much HP for far less money. If it were my money I would get the test pipe and exhaust, save the rest to get an AEM to get it tuned properly.

Before you do anything, you need to pick a route that your going to take your S. Ether wise you'll have a good chance of buying the wrong part right off the bat.

Thank you for the fast replies! For now I just want to get an intake, full exhaust and tune. Hopefully install all at the same time.. I really want to feel an immediate difference

The Invidia parts just seem to be good for making noise and lightening your wallet. My '08 AP2 with just an intake, test pipe and tune put down significantly more power than an '06 with a CAI, Invidia header, Invidia test pipe, Invidia exhaust, and tune at a local dyno day. The factory header is hard to beat.

HI guys,

Did a google search and could not find explained detail about the PLM header compared to js? It told me it had around the same gains.
does anyone know the exact difference as I cant really afford js at the moment or just keep saving.
