does anyone know the exact difference as I cant really afford js at the moment or just keep saving.
I would check in the offical header thread, they had links to various dyno plots for both the J's and the PLM. IIRC the PLM did very well, but needed supporting mods to get the
full benefit from. As was already mentioned Honda got the stock header pretty close to perfect.

The only real downside to the OEM header is that it's heavy compare to most aftermarket. The J's has proven gains over stock and is the best header for our car. The PLM is a clone to the J's. I prefer buying the real deal and just save up for quality parts instead of cheating out. This ain't no 95 civic hatch...

I did some research and I'm surprised that the t1r header isnt among the commonly sought after parts... Based on its design shouldn't it be similar if not better than the j's as far gains?

its all stainless steel to me, plm... j's... the crap probably isnt even made by j's themselfs its probably made in china for them by like syder auto or one of those companys. as long as it works good and looks good who cares if its authentic. you can use that money to get a more noticable authentic part like some te37's or something. then again its all about how you feel about it. if you just want some extra fun power which i would suggest. intake header exhaust hfc or test pipe. the stock header is good as it is but heavy, i have a berk thats in the 400 dollar range as well as hfc thats about 200 bucks and a j's exhaust which will now run you around the 1-3k area shipped.

if i would suggest you to get a really cool exhaust over the invidia stuff i would say get the challege street exhaust. its a single exhaust and i think you can get it for like 700 something shipped. maybe less. the invidia stuff just seems cheap to me. seem like everyone always eventually sells it.

Wow... Never though of that before... Does the wrap really make a difference other than keeping intake temps cooler? Looks really good btw

Won't be able to tell you until spring or summer

But in theory hotter gas=faster traveling gas=better scavenging

Better scavenging with lower IAT should get a bit more power but nothing crazy.

Scavenging has nothing to do with the velocity of the gas. Scavenging is caused be reflected pressure waves.
