Default An introduction to my S2k

Hello s2k forum. So I'm new to the forum but have posted a couple of threads without introducing myself and my S2k. I'm from north Jersey. Am a veteran and own a liquor store. I have a 17ft boat , a 2014 Sienna, a 2020 civic si coup. I've had a 1987 celica hatch back stick (my first car), a park avenue, a subaru, accord, a 626, a 2dr Blazer, a 4runner and a highlander. I recently purchased a s2000 2002 from my neighbor who bought it for his son who didn't appreciate it. The kid didn't like it and bought a bmw. Go figure. I'm an opportunist. The kid had done some work to it. This is what I got for 8k:
new ray volk wheels but had to buy new tires
Oem wheels
K&n intake
Stock intake
Sparko steering wheel
Stock steering wheel
New skunk 2 coilovers but had to do alignment
skunk 2 exhaust with delete (very loud)
Hks headers
New fender liners
Rolled fenders (****er).

Here's what it needed so far that has been done:
clucth with slave and master
new tires and alignment
Put in updated oil squirter bolts
Updated retainers
New vtec solenoid
Plugs and packs
Fuel regulator
Some new bushings.
Powder coated valve covers
Changed all fluids.
All in at rougly 10.5k
The s2k needs a serious paint jod and probably needs a fuel pump which is on its way. But yeah thats about it and am grateful for this community. I am loving the S2k. I love the car. I love the attention it gets. My si is awesome as well being its a a 2dr and relatively less seen. But that s2k boy. I'm in love. It's such a dream to drive. Let me know what you think of my buy and what color I should paint it. Originally it was silver. I'm the 12 owner. It came from Texas to Florida to me.
Ivan

Hello and welcome Ivan! You purchased the best roadster and one of the best sports cars of all time You get all that attention for good reason
$8k is cheap. Seems like a good deal especially with prices today. You went in the right direction with the parts and servicing u did recently so good job there. Rolled fenders is a shame though. That color immediately struck me as odd. You didn't post pics of the engine bay. Has it been painted as well or is it still silver? What's the mileage now? You said it probably needs a fuel pump - are there driveability issues? How does the gearbox feel? What has the car been lowered on?

unfortunately the engine bay is silver. I did fresh in up the motor with some powder coating. I'll post later.

Yeah, judging from the pictures and the rest of the modifications this is an odd thing to be upset about.
