j's exhaust ap2 fitment issue
is it here yet JayC07?! i'm more eager than u.
i have already narrowed it down to j's or the greddy SE. i luvvvvvvvvvv the look of the SE, but it's just not loud enough for me and it's too pricy considering it's always been $600 range for all non s2000 exhaust. i had a SE before (on K series), and while it's beautiful & decent... i want something that screams and annoy my neighbour who is a biatch, lol.
i know this thread is a bit old, but i just waited to share my .2 cents.. i bought a J's 70RS on craigslist in very good condition. No dents or dings or scratches for only $350. Yes i know i got a crazy deal. took me a month + to bargain with this guy and dropped it that low of price. anyways i quickly went home and installed the exhaust on, but soon to find out the fitment issue it has given me. first. the part after the test pipe was touching right on the chassis of car and then the resonator was also touching the lower rear tie bar. to make things worst i couldn't adjust the exhaust very much, everywhere i moved it towards would only give me an RIDICULOUS small fraction of small to even TRY and make it work would be IMPOSSIBLE almost. spend the whole weekend with no sleep in the garage and looked up every single way to make it happen. i came to the conclusion that if this were to happen.. i was going to have to dent my body on the under part in where the pipe touches and do something about the rear tie bar. i was so annoyed that i decided to just sell the exhaust. this was after spending a lot of money and time trying to make a safe solution on the exhaust. i didn't want the body to eat thur the exhaust by over time vibrations. After all that today i am thinking of getting a berk header back. This exhaust has grown on me in a weird way. its one of those things where u like it more and more over time. Any thought guys on what u think?
