J's Racing
So, I have owned an Ap1 and now an Ap2, i want to raise compression in the 2.2L to about 12.0 or maybe higher. Websites like evasive and aj-racing both sell J's racing high compression 11.7:1 pistons for the Ap1 motors only.
also i have read that J's racing and Spoon both utilize mainly stock Honda parts for their 2.2L stroker kits.
now, being that i have an ap2 that already displaces 2.2L and utilizes some of the same parts....
is it in my better interest to seek one of these kits because they are "better"?
1. the j's kit CAN make 300hp at the crank with everything in their catalog bolted on *yah right im doing that*
2.i have talked to aj'racings representatives and said that the f20c can make 250whp with the spoon 2.2L kit.... which is still somewhat skeptical to me.
3. inline pro sells bigger kits for more money and make good proven power
or can i find a set of custom forged pistons that do the same thing for my motor and switch to ap1 cams and a better head gasket.
will the rods/crank/block tolerate the compression raise? if you add FI to a stock f22C it holds double the power out put so yah....
my goals are moderate.... raise hp and torque with better response and a min 240whp with supporting mods/tuning etc.
