Get gears, header, snorkel, some nice wheels, and even a VAFC. I just bought a VAFC with the Boomslang harness right at $200. Its gonna cost me around $200 to get it all dyno tuned. Thats cheap for the gains you can get for that little thing.

I don't want to do VAFC because it only offers WOT tuning. I'm looking into the Emanange and the AEM FIC. Any thoughts on these?

And I think I'm going to stick with the OEM intake box for now.

Id do a K/N FIPK intake, Hytech NA header, VAFC tune or emanage tune, and 4.44 or 4.77 gears. would make for a fun car, with good parts, and reliable.
+1

but i would do 4.56/4.57 if you can find them or 4.77... 4.44 is not enough...

Okay. Looks like I have to make the choice between header and wheels/tires.

I'm thinking wheels+tires.

Maybe I'll get the header later.

I'll have to wait til I'm back from Iraq to do the gears though.

You can get a FastForward header for around $700, a used Greddy EMU for $500, and Enkei RPF1s and tires for $1500. Don't waste money on an intake since you already have the K&N drop-in filter; just modify the stock air box accordingly.

I've never been a big fan of the gears mod but that's because I DD my car. Also the man himself (puddydaddy) recommends a 4.30 or 4.44 at most in terms of gears.

I'd skip the AEM FIC. It doesnt allow for timing advance, only retarding for boost applications. Plus I heard there have been problems working the with s2k. Another vote for gears, EMU, and wheels/tires. Star Specs rock, esp for the price! If u have any $ left, get the PLM header. But should be the last thing on this list since it will provide the least gains.

if this is your DD I don't suggest gears since those will TEAR UP your gas mileage IMO... Also keep in mind your tuning, you can't go wrong with emanage!!

If you get the emanage, then get the Giles Black e-manage ult. Definitely without a doubt best bang for the buck. I personally have it and man it freaking kicks major butt.

I haven't tried the k&n fipk yet but I came from an AEM V2 then went to snorkel plus stock airbox. Between the two, I personally think I gained more with the snorkel. And to make sure I did I raced a friend that has an AP2 who had a fipk with 70mm exhaust and me with snorkel and 70mm. We were neck and neck until about 75ish mph then I started to pull him pretty good.

The header mod is my next upgrade and I thought I was going to get the FF but decided not to anymore since it's too expensive. Gotta remember I already dumped a lot on the e-manage . Anyways as far as header goes, I'm thinking of getting the PLM header. I've read nothing but good results. Oh and btw, looks like Skunk2 is about to release their header pretty darn soon. They were in R&D stage for a year or so and are almost done with it. Depending on their price, I might get that.

Losing weight off your car is free. That not only helps getting up and going but helps in stopping and handling as well.

I saw a youtube vid of 4.77 and i think they are a little much. Cruising and highway speed would suck.
