obx 70mm t/b and toda cams?
im planning to dynotune my can next month or so.
so far I've done j's manifold, exhaust, intake.
was going to go for jenvey itbs but on a second thought, I would go for them after
some
extensive engine work. so for now I wanna get bigger throttle body and may be
cams
before get my car tuned with hks v pro gold.
what t/b would you guys recommend? I've seen obx 70mm for pretty cheap like
180ish
but haven't really heard any positive comments about their stuff...
Toda seems to be pretty much only option for the cams...
Can someone with experience share/recommend some ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I would get the science of speed TB. they have dynos posted on their site and its a good price for a quiality part. As far as cams go i have no clue. Everything i have read cams do not gain much hp.

stay away from the obx product. i have a obx gt40 bb turbo that i drove for only 100 mile before it started to have shaft play really bad. this was on my integra gsr turbo. obx also have bad service too. i could never contact them and also they would never back up there story they tell me. Stay away from OBX just my persnal opinion.

yeah..only have heard negative things about obx..anyone experienced new BC cams? kinda funny that almost after 10years s2000 came out and still no aftermarket cams that make noticeble gains...

If you already have a good amount of J's components; why not get the J's throttle body?
The parts were created to work together and it will be better then mixing and matching.
as far as cams go; it is recommended that you get a stage two head. Valves, retainers, springs etc. And to make any noticeable power you will need cam gears, supporting mode and tuning. that way you will get the best out of your setup.
just remember that cams are not drop-in and get power products. You will need supporting mods and a tune to get some power of the cams.
just my two cents. good luck.

Thanks for opinion wholeo. I could have gone for J's T/B. problem is I have to send it Japan as they sell T/B on core exchange basis like SOS and others.
SOS big bore T/B and J's T/B seem to be pretty much the same so I'm leaning towards SOS now.
I've had good experience with drop in cams on SR20DET and RB26DET.
Both had Tomei poncam(pon means "just/right fit". they made great gains and didn't even need any extra bits as they were designed to work with standard components. I also had DC2,DC5 and EK. as you might know, high profiles cams do make huge difference on those but not F20C.
I've done a quite a bit of research for cams and with all mods u mentioned, the gains aren't great and the cost is hardly justifiable for the performance gains but yeah thanks for ur opinion

Yes, research is the key.
yeah, no problem, that's why most people go FI because the money to HP ratio is a lot better.
I am glad I was able to help out some what.
I am a NA guy and it takes a toll on my wallet, with the s2k. But i don't regret one bit.
Good Luck.
