Default Reversible Performance Mods...

I do not know if there is a thread about this, so I would like to start a discussion.

I want to discuss about modifications that:

1. Can pass state inspections or can be easily reversible for such events.

2. Do not require a stand alone ecu, but perform better if tuned with one.

Anybody is welcome to join the discussion.

What information are you looking to get?

In my opinion most mods are reversable. I always save my stock parts in case something happens, breaks, etc. We don't have inspection here in Alabama so for me that isn't a big deal.

My modifications usually are a result of what class rules are in auto-x. In the stock class, tuning is not an option, but since I'm going FI this summer it is more-so.

The only mods I see that aren't reversable is if you do chassis cutting for over-fenders and the like.

Well, of course lots of mods are reversible.

I had an ITB kit before, it was reversible for sure, but it took me a few days to install the stock intake manifold after removing the ITB kit.

In my opinion, it's too much trouble to install, remove, and install again for just state inspections.

I know a few mods that I can get a bit more HP without a standalone ECU.

Such as cold air intakes, testpipes, exhausts, and cams.

These mods will get me even more HP gain with a standalone ECU, most of the time.

Also, I can easily replace these mods with stock parts for state inspection, if necessary.

I am just wondering if there were more mods that will give me same benefit as those mentioned mods above.

Get some gears into your differential..... I heard those are a lot of fun and I know that should have no problem passing inspection.
