I am using the Ktuned 80mm TB (again I think I may have influenced AP2SSM's purchase). So I'm using a stock Honda K-series IACV that mounts direct to the Ktuned TB. Required changing the IACV connector from s2000 to K-series -- figuring that out was "fun". Also required some tweaks in my AEM Infinity for it to idle properly (no idea what Jeff Evans @ Evans Tuning changed though).

My 80mm was my choice at the time. I do think the Tb is way too big now. It def. doesn’t help matters. I think I am leaning more towards the ktuned 72mm for the next go around. I may get that on the way. Right now my throttle is not only super sensitive. It’s super duper sensitive. Nothing we could do changed idle speed. Maybe snitm 2.4 needs that extra volume. I have the k iacv too. Rewired. I was able to play with the settings with the valve removed. It does work. For a while I thought I had the wiring incorrect. As far as the glowing header maybe my fuel wasnt atomized enough and the header since red hot finished the burn. I do get a lot of bubbly noise when I am in decel. Sometimes...but most the time.

I would put the oem TB on as its 10 min job and see how it runs,then think about a plan of action if it cures the issue.

If that TB gives you to much driveability problems maybe you should try using alpha-n tuning instead.

Would either of you mind sharing how you wired up the IACV? Pics of the connectors or a description of what wires tied into the IACV. Much appreciated if you can!

As noted in a follow-up post: this is how to wire up a K-series MAP sensor connector to the F-series wire harness's MAP wires.
I got this K-series pigtail from Acuity. And then wired it up like this (while looking down on the K-series connector with clip on top):

yel/red -> left
grn/red -> center
grn -> right

hopefully these pics are useful:

So the more I think about this, I'm thinking the K-series IACV just uses the normal Honda s2000 IACV connector. I just needed to cut and then extend the wires to get the connector to the IACV that is mounted further away on the bottom of the Ktuned TB.

The pictures I showed with the K-series pigtail is for the K-series MAP sensor connector. Sorry for the confusion!
