there are certain risks in life that you take that may be considered a necessary risk.. driving in LA (horrible and dumb drivers), driving in Miami (horrible and crazy drivers), driving in any China Town (obvious), staying with the in-laws, etc

and some risks that are just downright dumb, even if they seem fun or innocent... sleeping with a girl you just met in a club (who is likely a dude), using a cusco rollbar on the street, running with the bulls, etc

so, you gotta ask yourself, is it a necessary risk or just a downright dumb risk?

Coilovers can take a little bit of tugging, I wouldn't have the car on anything that could slide.

Don't let Paul Flores sacrifise himself for nothing!!!

Don't ever go under the car unless there are jack stands right next to you to support the car when jacks fail!!!!!

I like having wheels/tires under the rockers. I've seen too many jackstands that end up in less than ideal positions/orientations from the car moving while the other end or side is jacked/unjacked.

Even with the car on jackstands, I like to put a few wheels/tires under the car for backup.
I usually do this too, if I find myself fully under my car. It certainly puts my mind at ease.

Honestly, I would never get underneath my car with a jack supporting it. I will only get under it if it has jackstands in proper positions. Honestly, jackstands are very cheap and are much safer than jacks. Spend the $50 on 2 more jackstands, your life is worth more.

If ever I am doing anything that does not require the removal of the wheels, I jack my car up and put it on ramps. Our cars are too low to drive onto the ramps that are tall enough to get under your car. Hence the jacking up to get the car onto them. Psychoazn recommended using thick wooden blocks. I think that would be a great way to support the chassis when under the car. I also like to always have a backup. I hope some of that helped. Be very careful and always triple-check your setup before trusting it.

And always give it a good shove before you get under it. If its gonna fall, I would rather watch it fall onto the ground, rather than watch it fall on me.
