+1 all everything already said

STO is big money and big speed, with few entries at the regional level, which is where you will start. Take a look at NASA ST2.

"rush," "barely afford"??? I don’t know where you picked up on that... ill be racing 2013 to give me plenty of time to get and do everything properly and I have the money I just dont understand why racers see the need to buy 5500$ shocks when there are proven/faster cars running cheaper parts.. but I dont wanna start that argument lol. ive driven a spec Miata and my S is SOOOO much more fun. idk once I finish the build ill do some testing at a few track days to see where im at. but in all seriousness ive ran the numbers for literally everything so im not worried. But thanks for all the opinions and input because it made me think twice about a few things. Im thinking im gonna get the src’s, 275 all around from what I read will complement the 16kg spring rate.
As for the video. Im Not worried about crashing shit happens but I want to be responsible with it. IMO That wreck was 100% jerrys fault for thinking he was racing in a g**d*** pro race. After seeing the video if I was joe I would have some words for him. When someone spins, hit the F’n brake, this is amateur racing. Yes they probably still would have hit but both cars wouldnt have been totaled. I haven’t seen or heard of a wreck between two people other than mechanical failure at local regional races in 3 years. Lynch (black viper red orange stripes) has taken out a few people but he just seems like a rich prick to me, I won’t race him.

And as for Pro vs. Amateur, I'm going to remind you that the Olympics is an Amateur Event.

Pro status has nothing to do with competitiveness.
