[QUOTE=tmorrow,Nov 1 2004, 07:44 PM] You should get LudeDude to host those side by sides on GoFastVideo.com so that they'll be archived. The "old BS" days - ya' know. AS is

Great videos! I think it's time for me to make another trip to Nationals.

What camera and mount are you using? Standard lense?

Brad and Steve both downshifted 3 times on the South Course. Steve was fastest with a 50.050.
FWIW, I think Jason, and possibly Ron, were downshifting four times. The additional spot being the right hand sweeper leading to the long, fast slalom diagnally across the middle.

Also, I think car setup can have some bearing on the appropriateness of downshifts. My setup is biased much toward stability in highspeed transients, and the trade off is pretty strong understeer in slow corners (when not under power). As a result, I will tend to downshift more so that excess power is available to help the car rotate in slow corners and keep the handling balanced.

I would have just made a mount to replace the wind deflector, but I didn't want to take any chances with wienie protests.
I was wondering about that possibility. Thanks for the info

I'm not sure but I don't think the windscreen is a factory installed item. That means if you took it off and attached a video camera you become even more legal than someone with just the windscreen.

Does this sound right?

Windscreen was factory (or port) installed for 2001 and later. Only the 2000s can legally run without one.
