I find that hard to believe without at least 280 hp and R-compounds. On a stock S2000 with street tires, I expect a 1:59-2:00 to be very attainable.

^^ He could be lying but I wasnt talking stock...my statement was misleading. Since Richard wasnt talking times I just threw out a fast time who happened to have zero areo.

IIRC, he ad r comp and megan track coils, BSK and thats it...Im pretty sure you know who Im talking about Jim (Mat).

Is this the first time that the S2K challenge has run ACS Roval? I didn't see it on last year's event calendar.

The closest comparable laptime I could find was the May 2010 Redline Time Attack at ACS. Ed Lee took 3rd place in "Enthusiast RWD" class, which is basically his Modified car with a smaller wing and Street Tires. He did 1:59.504. But he has 10 points in S2K Challenge minus the R-comps and bigger wing.

If anyone runs a sub-2:00 lap in Stock Class, my hat's off to them. My guess is that Charles is the only driver who has a chance.

I got an exhaust installed today. Will I still be able to compete in street class?

Also, how much is the transponder rental?

Just buy your own . I use RaceChrono with a spare phone. If you have the phone, the software is free and the external GPS is only $85. And it works at 5Hz.
