2014 Megan Racing S2k Challenge Rules and Schedule
what about the amount of skill and practice he brought to the table, ..
Splitter + wing + square + coilovers= 4.5 points
Add 0.5-0.75 for wheels (17x9 or 17x10) and you're basically done.
So no NT01/RC1 in Mod class unless you give up something pretty major. Looks like mod class will basically be a spec class
Edit: was typing before Ringer posted lol, similar thoughts. Should offer NT01/RC1 as 0 pt tire for Mod class?

so its either street tires in mod or add a supercharger to play in supermod ...seems like a crazy jump...the current mod guys going to be forced in supermod..... i thought mod would be were the action was this year....seems not
some of us care about winning and have sponsors we need to please , go play in street
the winning combo in mod would OBVIOUSLY be rs3's which are so hard to get these days, it doesnt make much sense ... why unmod to go to mod...not sure why the mod cap was lowered so much? , especially with the other changes which took place

Yeah, I didn't realize what just happened to mod, but it seems like all the points increases to parts and decreases in caps bumps everyone up a class...
I think mod should still have the 6.0 cap so they can at least run square, wing, coils, r-comps - which is what mod should be after all. The changes to street are agreeable...

The point was to put us all together (mod and SM). Unless someone balls out of control....we all essentially have the same mods. Tires were the only difference (street vs comp). We also didn't want people to demod so it made sense to pull mod guys up. My car vs Brian's car.....same car but he has smaller wing and I dont have a splitter. On the dyno im sure we all make similar power with the exception of Dustins car which makes monster torque from his camshaft
Really a class that uses a tire above rcomp tires or FI should be out of SM. I think mod guys were just as fast as SM.

but this gives street guys no room to move up unless they have a huge budget to jump to sm... the rules changes alone add 1 point to my car already putting me at 4.75 with no changes...
'unless someone balls out of control' exactly what we want to eliminate which is a money war/ or not as much parody.....
give the mod guys the chance to move to super mod and give the street guys a chance to move to a real mod class...
mod guys were as fast as supermod because of development time, money and driver entries ... at least thats what i saw
the changes made without making mod 5.5 it still does move some people to supermod , right? im not sure just asking ...
if mod were 6 points i add r comps and im done , not a bad deal for street guy like me, or at 6.5 i'd be fun to have a little headroom to maybe add a couple small improvements like hood ,canards or maybe hfc.....
sorry i dont want to run in supermod against a supercharger, it takes the skill of it and makes it a money game like formula 1 ....
sorry guys i update my posts make changes after i post

Mikes car is the same as an SM car...RS3s were the only difference, right? Why even use those when they cost similar, are never available and dont last the whole session like an NT01.
Really SM point should be lowered also, so someone like myself doesnt go FI or 4 point tire and dominate.
My car currently is at 7 points.
Really a 4 point tire is for setting personal bests....right? They dont last for SH!t
This way mod and SM will be one and people like Dylan wont have to demod for his fenders, hood, bumper etc which doesn't make THAT big of a difference.
Thoughts?
