Looks like AST Contingency is back although this time you actually need to have AST's. Just in time to get a credit for a rebuild.

It appears their contingency is only for the championship race (unless I'm interpreting it incorrectly). Their use of the works "region" and "championship" are a little confusing. Still not bad, but would be nice to help reward those using their products successfully within their region but don't want to compete nationally.

Yeah, that is confusing. I'm hoping it's for regional races. The program description doesn't refer to the championship, even though the registration form does. I'm hoping they just used the old registration form? I'll ask when I register.

Couple things to remember:

All dyno reclasses before November 2013, have to be resubmitted. Doubt that makes a difference in numbers, but maybe it could.

Also, some of us asked for no % allowance, and some have a horsepower allowance.

I'll try to drag my email out, I have 210, 215, and 220 to TTC base class, post 11/2013

BTW, I contacted AST and the references to "championships" in the "regional" document is not correct. Those contingencies are for the normal regional races and they will be working with NASA to get the document updated to remove any further confusion.

Am I the only one that finds it weird that you can get a dyno reclass to the same base class of the car making more power than a stock car and get a lower weight than the base number in the TT rules. It seems like there are no downsides to doing a dyno reclass then at that point. Boggles my mind.

I think that's just the nature of trying to even out hundreds of cars onto one playing field.

I'm running TTC/TTB/TT3 this year. My TTC setup is a TTC* reclass at 2760/230whp.

5 shock/spring
4 wing
3 tires
