If I'm not mistaken, the offset that has been supplied on the 18*10 S2000 C10's is +75 for the rear and between a 19-25 mm spacer for the front making them between 50-56 offset.

Backspacing is a much more accurate number. You can calculate with the following:

( backspacing - ( ( rim width / 2 ) + .5 ) ) / 25.4

Problem is, the .5 addition is to account for the rim lip and it varies from manf to manf. So this will only get you close, I've seen close to .25" variances. When dealing with custom wheels it's best to just use backspacing.

Interesting...you see While these specs being mentioned are good for a stock bodied S, I am trying to see if I can figure out what specs would work similary and still sit flush on an S with wider fenders(ASM front and rear).

I don't want to thread jack, so I will apologize to the OP, and hopfully just keep reading and figure it out.

you can figure out the frontspacing the same way. You'll have the same issue in terms of lip variance. If it's a specific brand that you have already or someone can measure, you can work from that... I.e...

To get the actual extra for the lip size...

( measured width - stated width ) / 2

Or, you can just add spacers till you get the look/fitment you want. Then measure that backspacing and subtract from the stated width.

C'mon Spaf, just slap a turbo on and come play in SM2!!! You got your spacers back, right?

I would add my $0.02, but I cloned my setup from Spaf. Besides, I'm a beginning autocrosser this year.

Huge thanks for your insights, gents. After looking at a picture a good person sent me of 11s on the back with 315s (sick...) I'm considering asking CCW if I can exchange my two unmounted 18x10 285/30/18 wheel/tire combos for a pair of 18x11 315/30/18s.

Spaf, thanks for your guidance earlier and on this thread. You're a true resource to the S2K and racing communities. Sounds like I'll be going with -3 degrees up front. Do you have any suggestions for rear camber? Oh, and please please please don't listen to CKit -- $M2's gnarly enough with Strelnieks and Wootton. Yikes, but yeah, it would be great to have yet another guru join the party, especially one who could put a S2K on the podium.

Great thread and really appreciate the knowledge sharing. SM2's not far removed from CP in this respect. Just a bunch of guys who collectively want to further the class (and by doing so, their own capabilities).

Best,
Stanford

$300 is an estimate by a reputable shop here, and the "rolling" may get pretty complicated if we need to take the angle grinder to some material in the inboard or outboard edges. If we have to do some metalwork / welding / painting, it'll definitely go up from there. After looking at the pics though, I'm feeling better about the extreme lengths I'm going to to make this work. And very grateful to Spaf, Jzr, Krazik, Blackey and others for their helpful guidance.

I can hardly imagine this car on 285/315 Hoosiers. The grip must be insane.
