Default 6 footer needs roll bar

I am 6'1" and cannot afford any room to move my seat forward. Is there a roll bar set up that does not have a cross bar behind the driver seat. I would like to meet SCCA requirements Any help would be appreciated.

no that cross bar is a requirement for SCCA. Only option is one that totally removes the rear part of the interior and is welded in.

And I was unable to find any way to do that with the top still operational, and the roll bar high enough for my tall self.

oh yeah, forgot that, lose the rag top. Or learn to drive w/ 1.5" less recline, I suspect you probably can deal.

You're only 6'1"?. Thats not that much taller than many who drive these cars.

More important question is how often do you -really- go to the track and is it a requirement for a rollbar or a desire?

It still reduces some seat recline.

^ Agreed. Let me know if you would like me to take any measurements or perform any slider/recline tests for you

FWIW, I am 5'10" and prefer a longer reach to the wheel and pedals, and this bar with the OEM seat works just fine.

I can feel this guys pain. I too am 6'1" and have absolutely no extra room to spare. Seat is back all the way and there is no recline. The seat rails in the group buy was an idea but I need the seat back further not lower. He probably has longer legs like I do so clearing the steering wheel becomes an issue. The Hard Dog rollbar seems like it would work, but the sparco looks pretty far up in the pic. Any other ideas as I am also looking this route.

I'm curious how everyone else has trouble unless they have really long legs and sit pretty far back. I'm 6'1" and lanky, and I still sit two clicks forward with my stock seats. I don't recline the seat back at all, but there's several inches back there so I could get some recline if I wanted to right now.

Now, admittedly, it is a pain to get in and out of the thing. I have to pull a "Lotus Elise-ish" move to slide in and out underneath the wheel. I can only assume this will get worse when I put in a Harddog bar and bucket seats, but I don't drive it daily so it's worth it for me.
