ABS
abs has definitely come in handy in the street.
and it is activated on almost every turn at the track. i would definitely want it at the track, unless i'm very professional at the track...then i might consider taking it out, but even probably would still want it.

You definitely want to keep the ABS. There is no reason to take it out unless there is regulation banning it in a particular race series.
You'll always be faster with ABS, by definition. If you could threshold brake perfectly, the tires would never lock and it wouldn't activate ABS. If you are a mere mortal and sometimes make an overbraking mistake, lock the wheels the ABS saves your tires and gets more grip than a locked wheel. It can even give better performance than manual control as it can modulate indivdual wheels (which can't be done manually) when one tire unloads from bumps or hard cornering.

For what it's worth, ABS is illegal in most (all?) SCCA road racing classes. While it would be nice to have, I don't miss it terribly, and having to modulate the brakes yourself does separate the men from the boys.
