[QUOTE=mxt_77,May 25 2009, 06:08 AM] Do you use different wheels/tires on the street vs. track?

hi dude...i'm using 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 federal 595ss on modulo sports rims. was previously on the same tyres but 255/40/17 on rears. never had an abs issue with the upsize though...

probably sounds like the sensor fault/damage might be wat i need to fix.

The ABS computer is quite good. It doesn't mind different front and rear diameter tires very much. I'd be surprised if this was the issue, but I can't say for sure.
Understood... I was just trying to think of something that would cause this issue to be seen on the track, but not on the street.

Yeah, that is kind of weird. I wonder if the "brake ducting" damaged or affected the front ABS sensors in any way. And I still don't know why it would only happen on track days. Maybe if the signal from a dirty / damaged ABS sensor is weak and then the geometry change from static high cornering loads moves one of the rear ABS sensors a little farther away from the reluctor ring?

What year? We had ours in the 2006 fail a year or so ago. Turned out to be the control unit. Now it activates to easily.

That was my assumption. Either that or else a connector is loose. Either way it's probably the higher cornering loads that cause the issue.

I have the same problem with the fronts. Way oversensitive with a split mu.

FWIW, my car behaves fine under braking with no ABS
If you don't mind having to modulate manually to prevent lockup...
