Default Accusump install - block fitting?

I did a search but it came up dry on this point - are any of the oil galleries on the block tapped (to allow directly plumbing of an Accusump)?

Thanks,
Ben

I don't have an accusump, but I would think it could be plumbed in at the oil pressure 'sensor'.

I believe that is a pretty small orifice (as least it is on a B series block). The Accusump needs something bigger - something that would support running -8 or -10 hoses.

It's normally done at the oil filter sandwich plate.

I agree. A sandwich plate if you are keeping the OEM oil filter inplace. You can install a block off plate if you want a remote oil filter.

Yes - I was planning a block off plate and a remote filter, just trying to avoid the "T" plumbing.

Thanks.

You are stuck installing the T. Sorry. I had to install on too.

Don't use anything less than a 1/2 inch inside diameter line made for oil. General purpose hose will not support high pressure hot oil for long.

And don't forget a check valve.
I like the "jet engine" check valves sold at batinc.net over the Canton check valves.
When you see the inside of each check valve.... you'll know which should flow better.

I was planning on using a Summit one-way, which uses a teflon flapper - which seems a bit better than the Canton.
