Default Alignment advice please for HPDE setup

Been searching and coming up empty. I'm moving to R-Compounds this Spring and need alignment advice for my 2002 AP1 with AP2 sized rims. Should I go with AP1 alignment specs, as my car's suspension setup is stock or does the rim size matter?

Thanks is advance.

I would go with at least -3 camber all around if you're driving the car at a decent level of proficiency, and the r-comps will only be seeing track use.

You may discover you need more or less. The only way to truely determine that is with a pyrometer.

If you're on stock suspension at stock height, you'll need camber joints.

I would go to Darrin at West End Alignment and agree with whatever he wants to do.

If your suspension setup is stock, you're going to want to run maximum camber front and rear, which will probably put you at something like -1.25 front, -2.25 rear (plus or minus). Yeah, it'd be great to have 3 all around, but you don't *need* camber joints. I'm precluded from using them by showroom stock time trial rules, but honestly I wouldn't bother anyway unless a few tenths really really mattered.

Front toe zero or a smidge (maybe 0.1deg total) toe out.
Rear toe 0.2-0.3 degrees total (too much rear toe => wonky nonlinear handling AND greatly accelerated tire wear).

Personally, I don't worry too much about caster and maximize camber first. If you maximize caster you may be limiting camber.

My .02...

Dan, you're a bit off on the stock ranges for camber. I hit 2.2 degrees in the front and it can do at least 2.7 degrees in the rear, completely stock.
