Default Another Essex Ap brake kit review

Hi all, this is my first time posting a review. Pardon me if I did not do a good job, but I must do this to give credit to URGE for bringing this kit to the s2k community. I have installed this kit for two months and recently I have the chance to test out this kit on a local track. All I can say that the reviews given by 99SH and pboi are true about this excellent brake kit. Installation is a breeze as the instructions are clear and illustrated. I did not remove the brake dust shield as I have brake ducts.

On my first trackday with this kit, I used C300 front and S100 rear pads. The bite on the front is tremendous. I can feel myself lunging forward when braking hard. There is no fade after a 20-25 min session of hard braking and lapping. I could have continued lapping if not for my hot oil temp. However, I feel that the rears are not biting hard enough and on some occasions causing imbalance to the rear. I have ordered C300 rears which may solve this problem.

On my second trackday, I decided to swap out my C300 front for S100 front. All I can say that the S100 did not gave me the confidence to brake late. I will just use S100 for street use. With this combination of front and rear s100 pads, the car somewhat feel more balance going into the corner.

On the whole, the Essex brake kit delivers what it promises. I am not going to repeat the advantages URGE posted on their website. What is not mentioned is the excellent customer service provided by URGE. They are prompt in replying to any queries and very honest with their products. I will definitely deal with them again.
Sorry for the lack of photos. Will try to sort this out.

Thank you for the review. Just wanted to see how they were doing after more track days?
You seem to prefer the Ferodo pads?
