Default Anybody running the Stoptech kit up front?

I am looking for anybody that used the Stoptech kit *on the track*. Also, are there any alternatives I should consider?

Have you already considered looking at Brembo?

I have not. The only 2 kits I knew of were the Stoptech and Wilwood. After seeing two track failures with the Wildwoods, I would not consider them.

Comptech sells the Brembo Gran Turismo kit. You can probably find a better deal through other channels. You may also want to see what offset and curvature is required.

I know the Stoptech kit requires a very large wheel spacer and extended studs for most applications.

There was once talk of AP Racing prototyping a kit for a UK member, but that was quite some time ago.

Amuse has a 6 piston kit that uses an Alcon caliper.

J's Racing also has a 6 piston kit in the works.

The other consideration is finding wheels that fit. If the Volk CE28Ns I have (in 17") will fit over Brembos - that certainly helps.

What was the problem with the Wilwood brakes?

Two different cars had problems with brake fluid spewing out around the bleeders. I have been told that issue has been addressed in an updated caliper or some difference in the caliper models. The other issue was a failure that led to the driver front brakes catching on fire. I don't have all of the details, I do know that the owner of the car is no longer running them though and wrote them off as a loss.

JDMWhore has the "Stoptech" BBK.
I am not sure if it will clear the CE28n's without spacers.
