Default Anyone tried ordering toyos this week?

I called Frisby tire and they said that the 275/40/17 RA1 is on national back order. Does anyone know a distributer that has them in stock?

Actually, I also heard out on the track yesterday that Toyo has run out of several sizes of RA1s. It happens occasionally. You might get lucky finding somebody who has one or two on the back shelf.

Maybe they are trying to deplete their inventory so they can introduce the newer R-compound. That would be nice .

Edgeracing is out of the mentioned sizing. Discount tire has wide access to distribution channels...it wouldn't hurt to check with them.

I ordered a pair of 275s from Vilven this afternoon. They have them for $170 plus 10 to shave.

Have you guys tried the nt01's?

maxrev said you don't need to shave them to be fast so you save 10 bucks right off the bat.

I'm just waiting for my stock tires to wear out and i want to try out a set

Actually...as I was sitting in the terminal at O'hare (after 20 hours of travel from Japan) i decided to get these because I can get the 245/275 combo for less (than RA1s) from discout tire and they have free shippping. (read...I can click and get them vs calling around) It may appear that I am being lazy, but I'm dead tired.

I'll be out at the track some time this month and I'll let you all know what my humble oppinion is.

*edited for spelling* the Mt dew is just starting to kick in.
