AP1 Tuning & 2012 STR rules
and weight reduction haha! Sad but very true. I love going to events and seeing a STR car out raw time alot of cars on slicks and some very fast street tire cars. I Raw timed a stock lotus Exige 260 sport (they have 60 tread wear tires) by 2 seconds the other day that was driven by a guy that was driver of the year a couple years in a role back in 2000-2002. It was a great feeling and the reason why I love STR. It's so amazing at how capable our cars are. But yes charles, chalk up another $1500-$2000 mod on the spread sheet. Just money though right? It's a hobby. Some people have $30,000 boats, others have $30,000 campers, We have $30,000 "race" cars. It's all worth it when our $30,000 car raw times a $100,000 car though.
Dude, that's one step away from getting thrills street racing.
If you want to go down that slippery slope, then you should be depressed about those pesky 89 Civics, F-Mod cars that cost less than a good set of car shocks and shifter karts.
Drive what you drive because you like it, not because what it represents compared to other people's spending.
You know what beating an Exige in a parking lot means? You beat an Exige... in a parking lot.
Take pride in that you're becoming a better driver. That'll carry over to any car you get into, no matter the price tag.
