AP1 Valve Cover Baffle Modification
Hey all, I've tried searching on the topic and came up with nothing. I attended my first Track day this past Sunday at Harris Hill Road in San Marcos, TX and it was a blast! My ap1 was spewing out a plume of blue smoke on the straight just before Turn 1 going left at 90+mph. Turn 10-11 before Turn 1 is a semi-slow right-hand hairpin and that's where I think the oil collected in the PCV and then was burned at the end of the straight before Turn 1.
The FAQ in this racing section says to use an Oil Catch Can and a couple of people on s2kca said that I could modify the AP1 baffle in the valve cover to allow the oil to drain back into the engine when sloshed to the PCV side. I've been trying to find pictures to see if anyone has done this before and have yet to find any.
I'm thinking about doing a catch can anyway, but would love to try the valve baffle anyway since I like doing this kind of stuff.
For those interested...

I'd be interested in seeing the results of your testing.
I've tested multiple configurations of hooking up the catch can and I've found that I get oil from both the breather and PCV valve. Either way....in a 20 min session my car fills the catch (or about 3/4 of a quart). The way I see it....replacing the oil alone is kinda an unnecessary expense.

Yeah, I'm definitely one to post up tons of pictures on how-to's and testing. I just have to find out how to get started first. ^_^ I have a feeling that modifying the baffle will help but it won't solve the issue. I think that the catch-can will contain most of the oil that goes through the PCV. It's just that there will be less in the catch-can once I do the modifications to the baffle.
I just need pictures of modified baffles to see what others have done.
