Nice, great idea! Will try that tonight.

So I tried Billman's method of removing using a pipe wrench and large chisel to remove the bushings and had no luck. So I then used a 1/4" NPT to tap the metal insert then threaded in a plug. Using a long bolt I easily pressed out the first half, then flipped and pressed out the second.

Thanks for everyone's help again on this. I am hoping to blast the arms this weekend then decide if I can't to Cadmium plate the arms or just throw on a coat of paint and call it a day. I really want to plate the hubs as the corrosion on them is always a pain to cleanup but then again now that is only sees track usage I am not sure it really matters either.

And how did you get that out? Since its pressed in you don't really have a flange to hold against

This is exactly how I did it. I found this way to be fairly easy.

There is enough of a flange to put a cup underneath the bushing so it can be pressed out from above.
